I absolutely love my institute class. I am taking a book of mormon class, and it is quality, man. Any who, we got talking about temptation and the first thing we talked about it was that Christ suffered every kind of temptation that we face.
That point proves that temptation is not sin. Acting on the temptation is sin. And that led us to how was Christ able to overcome every temptation, and we came up with gifts of the spirit.
My seminary teacher said something kind of profound, He said: "to every temptation there is a gift of the spirit that will off set the temptation." He also explained on how it is by searching for and praying for these gifts that God can help us over come our temptations.
